Metal Braces
Metal braces are the most common type of dental braces. They’re made with medical-grade stainless steel, which is biocompatible. The ones we use are small, comfortable and, of course, look super cool! Many patients actually prefer metal braces because you can choose from different colours of elastics at each appointment. Go for the colours of your school or your favorite team!
Clear Braces
Clear dental braces are made of a translucent ceramic material and are practically invisible. They work the same way as metal braces do but are more popular with our adult patients due to their esthetic appeal. They’re very discreet and most people won’t notice you’re wearing them.
Retainers
When you’re done with your braces treatment, we’ll fit you for a custom retainer to hold your teeth in their new positions. For most finished smiles, we offer thin, clear retainers. Typically, for the first two years, you’ll wear them every evening and night until Dr. Scramstad instructs you otherwise. When you see how great your new smile looks, wearing a retainer won’t seem like a big deal!
