Your First Visit

We hope you’re just as excited as we are for your consultation with Dr. Scramstad! There are a few things you can do in advance to save time and ensure we have all of the items we need to dive right in. The more information we have from you, the more prepared we’ll be to meet with you.

• Completed the patient intake form — Complete our new patient form before your initial consultation.
• Insurance info — We can help you determine if your dental insurance covers treatment and, if it does, how much coverage is offered. This will allow us to give you an accurate Invisalign or braces cost. You can provide us with your insurance information by bringing your card to our office or by responding to your welcome email with a picture of your insurance card, the policyholder’s name, and the policyholder’s date of birth.
• X-rays — If you have any X-rays that were taken in the last year, please email them to us. No X-rays? No problem! We can also take digital X-rays at our office.

Come On In

You’ll swing by our modern, eco-friendly Kelowna office, where you’ll be greeted with genuine smiles. We keep wait times to an absolute minimum, but if you get here early, kick back and relax in our cozy reception area and take advantage of our free Wifi. Our treatment coordinator will then show you around and take you back to the spacious treatment area. She’ll get some information from you and, if necessary, may take some digital photographs and digital X-rays.

The Exam

Next, you’ll meet Dr. Scramstad, a General Practitioner dentist specializing in straight smiles. He’ll examine your mouth and assess your bite. To ensure you get outstanding results, he’ll take the time to thoroughly look at your diagnostic records. Dr. Scramstad uses these, along with his findings from your exam, to determine an accurate diagnosis and develop a personalized treatment plan.

Let’s Chat

Dr. Scramstad will walk you through his diagnosis, proposed treatment plan, and your treatment options. He’ll also be able to fill you in on how long treatment will last, and he’ll be more than happy to answer any questions you have. We’ll then provide you with a written financial quote. Our receptionist, and go-to person for all things billing and insurance, will explain your insurance coverage and work with you to settle on a payment plan that suits your budget. When your consultation is finished, you’ll feel confident and ready to get started on your new smile!
